Purgatory

I see nothing

As far as my eyes can

It’s no different

If I open or close them.

There is no one around

As far as I Sense

It’s inevitable darkness

Which just gets dense.

I feel like I am drowned

In a black ocean

I am not even sure

If it has water.

My feelings are sinking

Just like this body

My flesh is tearing apart

And I keep falling.

I hit hard at something

Something I don’t understand

It makes no difference

If I open or close my eyes.
